I have probably mentioned that Mayra and I are celebrating our 10th year of officially being in business this month. It’s exciting/insane/unbelievable to think about where we’ve come, how fast the time has happened and where we are going from here.While many of our colleagues have had really lovely parties for their 10years, Mayra and I wanted to commemorate this by going on a trip. So when our friend Marcy Blum said she wanted to celebrate her birthday in Paris, we thought it seemed the perfect excuse to head to the city of lights. While I’m certain Paris is a romantic place to travel with a significant other, it has PLENTY of amusements shared best with a girlfriend: Macaroon sampling, wine over-indulging, antique hunting and of course shopping!
Of course, as a Native New Yorker I am always dying for the inside scoop of where to go for the BEST, Most Authentic or “secret” place to find the best ________. Can you think of a better excuse to head to Paris than wedding dress shopping? I can’t imagine a better long weekend than eating amazing cuisine, drinking wine in a cafe, visiting my 2nd favorite Manet in the world, wandering Flea Markets that make the Brooklyn Flea feel inadequate and pawing my way through vintage shops… oh wait, that’s the weekend I’m about to have!
